There is a local restaurant called Lapellah’s that has great food. They get their veggies from the same farm, April Joy Farm, where we get our CSA. Lapellah’s recently emailed out a recipe for this great vinaigrette that they recently retired from their menu. Here I have modified it slightly. Molasses is a good sweetener as it contains a lot of minerals.
Gather Up:
- 2 tablespoons of molasses
- 1 shallot, peeled and chopped
- 1 egg
- 2 tsp mustard
- 1/2 tsp of thyme, sea salt, black pepper
- 1/2 cup cider vinegar
- 1 cup olive oil
Whisk egg and add in all other ingredients except oil. Whisk. Then add in oil and whisk again. Pour on top of your favorite salad!
