So this is probably one of the easiest recipes we have posted (or maybe coming in second to this recipe). Have the kids help with this one. It’s a great dinner and super simple.
- 1 Whole Organic Chicken
- 1 cup of water
- Various Spices** (I used dill, garlic powder, black pepper, and lemon pepper)
- Good additions of course would be fresh garlic and onions. Whatever you wish!
Put water and chicken in the crockpot, sprinkling it with the spices. Cook on low for 6 to 8 hours. I did not remove the giblets, but you may do so if you like. When we made stock after this was cooked, it was nice to have the giblets for that. Cut and serve with your favorite side dish and salad.
This looks simple and delicious. I make lots of crock pot stews and this looks like a great one to try. Thanks!

So, did you not add any liquid to the crock? This recipe might be too easy to be true!
LOL.. I usually do add water to the crockpot, but don’t even remember if I did on this one. Good point. I’ll have to fix it and mention about 1 cup of water.
