We recently got to take a bit of a break from cooking and had someone else do the cooking for us! We attended an amazing dinner at our local CSA location, April Joy Farm. This beautiful, organic farm provides CSA shares to 40 local families and provides vegetables to local stores and restaurants. One of our favorite local restaurants, Lapellah, had master chefs do the cooking.
Of course all of the food was delicious! April, Brad, and family worked on their farm the entire day, picking and prepping the veggies that would be used for the dinner. Literally a farm-to-table feast! We were lucky with the weather too as the day was sunny and the evening was warm. No jacket needed. They said it was probably the last warm night before fall. My words cannot describe and so hopefully the pictures help fill you with feeling.
Wherever you are, I highly encourage you to seek out your local organic farmer and support them in all they do. This is our future of food.
